Legends of Runeterra is a God among updates, Patch 2.19.0 Is Looking FIRE.
Riot's Legends of Runeterra is easily the best digital trading card game of all time. As a salty player taking L's on the ladder I'm bound to criticize, say dumb shit, and complain about things that are most likely a "Me Problem". As a fan and journalist though. This game has really showed the ones that have come before it how's done. And what's even more amazing is that game is just a little over a year old.
Though we wonder about Riot's dedication to the game time to time. It is freaking clear. Riot is all about it's LoR
fanbase. Riot has already dropped quite a bit of funds into the game’s card art now, lore, and cast. Like understand this: League of Legends players check out the card game to learn more about their world. The game that LoR is based on does a better job at fleshing out the story and tough clearly on purpose. Can we just admire how dope that is.
What's great is that Legends of Runeterra is a peak into the world of League of Legends. That's just a great way to captivate two different audiences, cross promote, and bring it all together. And with this latest expansion Legends of Runeterra shifts from being just another competitive card game and becomes something more. With the game’s new single-player mode: "Path of Champions" which is actually a narrative campaign for about 11 champions to start with more to come later.
So if you didn't know, Path of Champions (PoC) has us choosing from one of the available starting champions including Jace, Lulu, and Jinx to name a few. And this mode isn't to unlike the Lab of Legends mode where players played through a single-player climb to beat Viktor and receive bragging rights. Except with PoC, we get a much more focused and story-centric playthrough.
In addition to all of this story juiciness. We're getting Jace. A new versatile champ that allows you to pick from 1 of 2 keywords upon summon. Quick Attack or Challenger. Making him fit the any situation you need him too. With him, also comes a slew of new followers, spells, and a brand new PnZ landmark really set to turn the game on it's head and Make EZ a tier 1 Champ again. MARK MY WORDS!
Additionally were getting new boards, skins, a new Vi level up animation, Season Pass, emotes, and so much more. And I couldn't be more Hyped for it all.
