If it's one thing I like to dwell on, it's the facts. And the fact is that Black Panther is killing the game as far as movies go, as far as super hero movies go, as far as all black casted movies go, and as far as smashing records go. And it would almost appear as though it has no plans to slow down yet as it has reached ANOTHER box office milestone. Black Panther pulled $11.3 million in its SEVENTH weekend in theaters, grossing over $650 million domestically. Talk about amazing...this achievement makes Black Panther the fifth movie ever to even hit the 650 million dollar zone. Honestly, I don't think we've seen anything this massive since Titanic.
And I haven't even began to talk worldwide. At the time of this article Black Panther has already grossed over $1.27 billion and is currently the third highest grossing comic book based movie of all time globally. This puts it behind Marvel's two other hits The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, which earned $1.5 and $1.4 billion congruently. If only DC would to take a few notes from Marvel and attempt to utilize some of the formula that makes it's movies so successful. DC might actually be a worthy opponent. But I digress. With Avengers Infinity War right around the corner one can only imagine the affect that Black Panther is going to have on it's own debut, as it garners the momentum that Black Panther has accumulated.
What did you think of Black Panther? Is it worthy of the hype or was it just another Marvel film. Let us know your thoughts in our NEW comment section down below!
